Verinnern is deliberately built to be data-minimal: by default, your cards and learning progress live exclusively on your device. This policy tells you transparently what data is involved at all.

1. Controller

2. Visiting this website (server logs)

This website is hosted by [Hosting provider, e.g. Netlify / Cloudflare Pages]. When you visit, the provider processes technically necessary access data (including IP address, date/time, page requested, browser type) to deliver and secure the site.

Purpose: technical delivery, security, stability.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a working website).
Processor: see agreement with [Hosting provider].

3. Fonts (Google Fonts)

For a consistent appearance, this website loads fonts from Google Fonts (Google Ireland Limited). In doing so, your IP address is transmitted to Google. No cookies are set.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (consistent, appealing appearance).
Note: Self-hosting the fonts (without calling Google) is planned to avoid this transmission as well.

4. The Verinnern app

The app works local-first: cards, modules and your learning progress are stored in a database on your device. Without sync enabled, this data never leaves your device, and no account is required.

No tracking, no advertising IDs, no analytics SDKs. Verinnern does not sell or share personal data.

4.1 Optional sync (account)

If you want to sync your cards across multiple devices, you can voluntarily create an account. For this we process your email address (for sign-in) and the synced learning content on a server operated by [Supabase Inc. or chosen region/provider].

Purpose: cross-device sync and backup of your cards.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (providing the service you requested).
Retention: until you delete your account.
Processor: [Supabase / hosting region].

Without signing in, none of this processing takes place. You can delete your account in the app at any time, which removes the server-side data.

5. Web version (app.verinnern.at)

The web version behaves like the app: your data is stored locally in the browser. Data is only transmitted to a server if you use the optional sync (section 4.1).

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the following rights:

Access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16) and erasure (Art. 17)
Restriction of processing (Art. 18)
Data portability (Art. 20)
Objection to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21)

An informal message to hallo@verinnern.at is enough to exercise them.

7. Right to complain

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority – in Austria with the Austrian Data Protection Authority, Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna.
