The problem

Why you forget everything after the exam

Without repetition you lose up to 80% of what you learned within days – the forgetting curve is merciless. Unless something quizzes you at the right moment.

The FSRS algorithm knows when you’ll forget

Every card has a memory model: stability, difficulty, retrievability. Verinnern schedules the next review for exactly when your recall has dropped to 90%.

Every successful review extends the interval: first 1 day, then 3, then 8, then weeks. That’s how knowledge moves into long-term memory – with minimal effort.

Features

From slide deck to long-term memory

Everything you need to pass – and nothing to distract you.

Slides in, cards outAI IMPORT

Verinnern generates a ready-made prompt for ChatGPT, Claude & co. Attach your slides, paste the answer – and 60 slides become exam-ready flashcards in minutes. With duplicate detection and a preview before importing.

Quizzes at the perfect moment

The modern FSRS algorithm (the successor to Anki’s SM-2) computes the optimal review time for every card. Four answers are enough: Again, Hard, Good, Easy – with an interval preview on every button.

🎯

Exam mode

10 days before the exam? Turn on exam mode: short study rounds on an hourly cadence (adjustable), only within your time window, never at night – and only when cards are actually due. It switches itself off after the exam.

🔒

Your data is yours

No forced account, no ads, no tracking. Your cards live locally on your device – optionally synced end-to-end through your own account. Verinnern works in the lecture-hall basement just like in airplane mode.

How it works

Your first study session in 3 steps

No setup, no manual needed. Honestly: the slowest part is your university’s cloud.

1

Copy the prompt

Pick a subject & module in the app. Verinnern builds an optimized prompt – copy it into your AI tool together with your slides.

2

Paste the answer

The AI tool returns structured cards as JSON. Paste, check the preview, import – duplicates are detected automatically.

3

10 minutes a day

Verinnern pings you when cards are due – with a count, without spam. Reveal the card, rate it, done. The algorithm plans the rest.

What is the function of mitochondria?
ANSWER
They are the “power plants” of the cell: in cellular respiration they produce ATP — the universal energy carrier.

The study session

One card. Four answers. No thinking about the when.

The session feels like a good deck of cards – except every answer feeds your personal memory model.

Card flip with interval preview

Before every rating you see when the card comes back – “guessing” turns into understanding.

Fine learning steps instead of an endless loop

Hard cards come back within the same session – after a few short steps they graduate into the daily rhythm. Nothing circles forever.

Streak, recall rate & weekly stats

Your progress visible on the dashboard – motivation without gamification kitsch.

FAQ

Still have questions?

What does Verinnern cost?
Nothing. No subscriptions, no in-app purchases, no ads. You create the AI cards with the tool you already use anyway (e.g. the free version of ChatGPT or Claude).
Where is my data stored?
By default, exclusively on your device in a local database – no account required. If you want, you can optionally create an account and sync your cards end-to-end across multiple devices. Without sync, Verinnern works completely offline.
Does Verinnern run in the browser?
Yes. Alongside iOS and Android there is a full web version at app.verinnern.at – no installation, right in your browser. Perfect for a quick try or studying on your laptop.
Which AI tool do I need for the import?
Any of them: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini … Verinnern generates a ready-made prompt and parses the answer automatically – including error checking and duplicate detection. You can of course also create cards manually.
What is FSRS – and why not Anki?
FSRS (Free Spaced Repetition Scheduler) is the most modern open spaced-repetition algorithm – the scientific successor to the 35-year-old SM-2 that classic flashcard apps use. It models your memory per card and therefore needs measurably fewer reviews for the same retention.
Is Verinnern available for iOS and Android?
Yes, both – with identical features, light and dark mode. Plus the web version in your browser.

the best place to start.
